  1. Dear 5th Grade East Elementary class of 2010,

This year was a blast! I will miss all of you! I hope that someday again, I will see all of you all. I think that this year was the best. I would have the same awesome year with all of you again. But all of us have to move on in our lives. I know that we are going to have a lot of more fun later, but I promise that I will not forget this year ever. Thank you for this year. Good luck with everything! I hope to talk with you again! Once again, GOOD LUCK!

    Your friends,
    Vlad

  2. Dear Everyone,
I am so sad to go but yet I am jumping for joy because it is over. Seeing our teachers cry las night almost made me cry and what will make me even more sad is seeing the East Dragons of 2010 break up and go away. Some of you I did not know really well, and now we are leaving. Thank you Mr. Moore for putting this post up. I promise I will do a daily comment or at least I will try my best. Good luck and sadly, goodbye.
    Forever and always,
    Anna

  3. Dear Fifth Graders,
This year has been a great year. We had a bunch of awesome memories. I will really miss every one of you when we grow up. At least we will have this blog to chat with each other. I think we will never see each other when we are all grown up. Today for me is a sad and happy day. Today is sad because we will leave this school and not see every body here again. This s a happy day because we are all going to sixth grade and moving on. This year has been a great year.

  13. Dear Mr. Moore, Ms. V, and Mrs. Rubenzer,
Thank you so much for being my teachers. You really made a change to my life. I will never forget you for what you have done to my life. I will really miss all of you. I really had fun learning with you. 5th grade is the best year because of what you did. Many people might say that all of you are mean. But I think that all of you are the best teachers in the Universe. I promise you. I will carry the lessons that i learned from you to middle school, high school, college, and on and on. I am grateful to have you in my life. I can't believe that this year went really fast. Thank you so much for what you have done to my life. If I can pick 3 people who really made a HUGE change to my life, that would be you. Also, Mr. Moore, I really had a good time learning with you and I think you are funny. Ms. V, you really made a big change to my life because no matter how much people think you are mean, I don't think so. Everyday, you would laugh and it really made me into a better attitude. Mrs. Rubenzer, thank you so much for coming to school everyday and teaching me lessons. By the way, thank you for telling me not to say "Stuff". It is so sad to leave you. Thank you so much Mr. Moore, Ms. Vander Velde, and Mrs. Rubenzer. You are the best.

  30. Dear Ms.V, Mr. Moore, and Ms. R
Hello this summer has been very nice though there has been some crazy days like on May thirty one I was going to the park with my parents but then since I was so excited I just wanted to go straight for the park. But no we had to go to Wal-Mart and that did not make me happy. SWo then we went to Wal-Mart and we left but then my little brother Omar that will be with you next year was crying because he wanted a game so then we stopped at gamestop to by him a game for his PSP and then we left to the park which was Cornerstone. So then we left home. But the reason I'm telling you this is because that day was really weird. But also there were some other days that were fun like for example last Saturday. I went to Anjelica's party and it was so fun because Leonel, Brandon, Miguel, Ashley, Raghda, Savannah, and me. And a bunch of family members of Anjelica. Well I hope that you guys are ok and Mr. Moore tell Avery and Quara. To take care. And the reason I remember what happened all these days is because I have been taking notes. And yes I have been reading over the summer and writing.

    P.S.
Mr. Moore remember the last day of school I brought my PSP and you made me put my game on your desk. Well I left it there. Man what a waste of game.

    Sincerely,
    Ivan

Hi guys it's me Ivan guess what this Saturday is my birthday. yes. And the reason I'm telling you this is because I think I'm finally going to start acting mature. Nice joke right Mr. Moore. So finally I'm turning 12. And also I don't care about what they are going to give me all I care of is how I'm going to spend that day with my parents and with my friends. So Mr. Moore thanks for publishing my last comment. Even though I might have used so, and, and but. Well take care and I'll try to post a comment every day bye and have a great summer.

    Sincerely,

So how are you guys me well. Mr. Moore, Ms. V, and Ms. R can you guys leave a comment that tells your last fifth graders because I'm excited to hear about your wonderful things you guys have been doing. But for me when I got out of school I got sick so that sucked. But then at the same times there is another thing that sucks about today is that Leonel is going to Mexico for about two weeeks but I'm not sure why there going and when there coming back but I think I heard two weeks but still not sure. So man I won't be able to play with Leonel until he comes back so man I guess I'm going to have to wait. But the cool thing is that I have seen Andre, Daniel, Anjelica, Savannah, Ashley, and Jefferson and there all doing well. Hope you guys are o.k. and bye.

P.S. If you guys can contact Ms. Snyder can you tell I said Hi.

    Sincerely,

  35. Dear Friends of the 5th Grade,

I will miss all the exciting moments in this year of school. I hope to run into each and everyone of you at some point in life. I cried when Mrs. Rubenzer cried at continuation. I was so sad to leave you all. I hope good wishes for all of you.

I want to tell all of you, you all have the success to be the best you can be and ask our teachers they will say the same thing. I hope that all of you know that.

As one comes another goes, but you always remember one thing in life that has changed you as a person.

Remember what Ms.V and Mr. Moore were talking about? The 2 paths. Well I hope all of you will pick the right path. I know I will.

I say Hello and Good-bye to all my good friends here in the fifth grade.

"To be or not to be, that is the question." Shakespere said. I think it means who are you going to be later on in life. Are you going to be the good (To be) or are you going to be the bad (not to be). Think about.

    Always remember:

What have you done with your time and what have you done with your name?

Forever there for all of you,
    Savannah

  39. Dear everyone,
I just got back from California and it was awesome! I went to the beach and I tell ya I got a ear full of salt water. Also a mouth full. I flew to Vegas and slep in Circus Circus and I got a great view of the whole city. I past the big temple and it has a light that you can see from space! How cool! I also got to see the great big Hollywood! I drove past it but it was cool. My grandma drove me and Bryonna to Colorado and I was riding in 5 different states. They are, Arizoina, Colorado, California, Utah, and Navada.

Well actually one of my goals.

  47. Dear Mr. Moore and MS.V,

I saw your student's comments on cover it live and I remembered when we had to do 4 comments in like 15 minutes! It's no fair! Just kidding ;). I actually liked doing all of those comments cause it was like competition and you got to listen and think. Oh and this is for the fifth graders... You guys are going to love the books that Mr. Moore's going to read to you like Freak the mighty, Things not seen, and I don't want to spoil the rest. I'm sorry Mr.Moore if I said too much but I just want to get them anxious for the books that they're going to listen from the best book reader... MR. MOORE of course. Well anyway, middle school is awesome and I have the coolest Language Arts and Science teachers. Mrs. Falcone (L.A.) and Mr. Pautler (Science). Geuss what! In L.A. we're reading reading the book Freak the Might! When Mrs. Falcone said that we're going to read that book, Ivan, Hayden, and I yelled out, "YES!!"... I know that the caps letters and the two exclamation marks are too much but still we were so excited. I have this elective that's... Spanish Culture, which is so wierd 'cause like I already know like, high school advanced Spanish. But still enjoy a lot except, well because when we get 10 pints we get a prize. On the other hand my hand are just out of control and urging to type a school but the only time that we get to use the EEE's is in L.A.. At home I get to type as much as I want to. By the ways this also goes to the fifth graders... Pleas pretty pretty please take care of the triple e's cause one day we didn't get to use them cause we were sooo disrespectful andwe got them taken away. Well actually take care of the laptops and please be PR2 which is positive respectful and responsible. Which is our saying at GMS. This way you guys will enjoy your EEE's the whole year. Because, in sixth grade you won't get to use them much. Oh and by the way please write to Mr. Mass, so 8th graders can use the EEE's. The reason for this is, we will DIE with out them. OK I'm exagerating a little but seriously, PUSH YOUR THINKING, WE BEG YOU. Back to Mr. Moore and Ms. V, I'm in volley ball :D, but we don't get to compete :( with other schools. It's just getting ready to compete in 7th grade. Speaking of seventh grade, I hope that I will be able to get into volleyball, basketball, and track. Besides sports, I'm in band playing the Clarinet. I really enjoy playing this instrument. except the hard thing is that I have to bring my clarinet, binder in my backpack that weigh like 50 pounds, and my lunch bag. So when I come home from school I feel like I'm gonna die. But I take a nap and then do my homework. OOhh, I'm sooo excited! In October or like this month we're going to Estes Park! It's like Cal-Wood except Cal-Wood is wwaaaay cooler than Estes Park (even though I haven't been there yet, I already know. I bet this year is going to be a big adventure for the fifth graders and the FIERCE EAST DRAGONS OF 2009-2010 in sixth grade.

    Sincerely your loving student,
    Marylou :0)

P.S. I miss you guys so much!:..(
P.S.S. Can the fifth graders PLEASE write about how Cal-Wood was and how the year is going, pretty please! Thanks!

There's more it's just that I wrote too much...

  49. ... Well actually take care of the laptops and please be PR2 which is positive respectful and responsible. Which is our saying at GMS. So you guy won't lose the privilege of the EEE's. I really enjoy playing this instrument. except the hard thing is that I have to bring my clarinet, binders in my backpack that weigh like 50 pounds, and my lunch bag.

Thanks!

  50. Dear MR Moore and Ms.Vander Velde,

I am loving Middle school. There is only one thing that i hate a lot about middle school and the thing is this. They give you a lot of homework. Also at lunch. You have to get in the lunch line as fast as you can because there are a lot of people. Also you need to get in the lunch line fast enough because the food goes away really fast. I usually get my food becuase my 5 block is near the cafiteria. So then I can get to the lunch line really quick. Anyway how do you fell about the class that you are teaching in fifth garde this year. Do they talk a lot like our class last year. Bye.
    Sincerely,
    Larissa

  51. Dear Class of 2009-2010 and Fifth graders,

I got pushed up into... Exhilarated Language Arts. Finally, my goal of getting into a high level class is completed. The reason for this is, I thought that I wasn't talented. But now that I look back, I am talented the whole time and now I can prove it myself. By the way in cover it live I saw that you guys are in the naked part. That section of the book is hilarious. I remember that the blind girl tried to get close to him, and the boy didn't want her to get to close because he was naked. Well I'm glad that you guys are pushing your thinking and keep up the good work guys. Have a marvelous year!

    Sincerely,
    Marylou :0)

  54. Dear Mr. Moore, Ms. V and all fifth graders of the year 2009-2010,

How are all of you? I hope you are doing great because so am I. I have had a blast so far in middle school and I hope that you have too, I haven't seen many of you since the last day of school and I have seen some of you at the ISTE conference and other places but I still miss all of you! I am practically crying while I am reading this blog because I am remembering all of the great times we had together. WE don't use computers much in my school so my hands are now itching to type. And for all the present fifth graders, I hope you are having a great time and I want you to know that the opportunity you have is great and I am not talking about the computers, I am also talking about Mr. Moore and Ms. v. I hope you all have a great year and I hope to see some of you guys sometime soon. Middle school is awesome and I hope you enjoy what you have now. Thank you all for your time, I will try to stop by soon.

    Your friend,
    Anna

  59. Dear 2009-2010 5th grade classmates,

Csap week is just about over and it is great!!!! I feel like i did wonderful. Just a little update for those of my friends who went to Goddard and not Euclid, I am doing great and life couldn't be better for me. I am in a 7th grade accelerated math class with a teacher who so much fun!!!!! He is so out going. 1 time this 1 kid was falling asleep in class so the teacher had the whole class shout the kids name, and then the teacher started to play bad romance by lady gaga and danced around the room. It was hilarious. I laughed and laughed and laughed!!! Also those of you at Goddard, your Spanish teacher I think, Mrs. Mena, I know her husband Mr. Mena and he is pretty funny.

  61. Dear Mr.Moore and Ms.V,
I don't know if you know this but I am in 7th grade right now and I'm pretty sure everyone else has forgotten about this post. I just remembered it. I hope that your classes are doing alright. I wish I was able to come back to east and visit all of my old teachers including you guys. Middle School has been pretty hard for me in Language Arts but I'm doing better. I hope that the students you have right now are doing great and I hope that they will follow your guys directions pay attention and stay on task to get good grades. I hope you can tell them that I said you guys were great teachers and I was glad to be in your classes. Tell them Middle School isn't so easy if they think it is cause once you get to seventh grade your gonna be wishing that you payed attention and followed directions and stayed on task during your elementary years. I hope you guys have fun teaching and have great students.

    Sincerely,
    Brenden H
