Some Additional Vocabulary Practice

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We're trying something new by adding a link to some Spelling City Games. The purpose of this activity is to have you practice some vocabulary. When you follow the link, you'll choose a vocabulary game to play. You can tell the vocabulary games apart from the others because they are labeled and because they are in blue boxes.

Please make sure that you choose one of these games - not a spelling game. We've tried to make the image a link directly to the games, so click on it to see if it worked!

  1. Dear Mr. Moore,
I think the best game that helped me learn the definitions of the words was Which Word? Definition's because the game would ask you what word matched which definition, and if you got something wrong it would tell you what you had to fix until you got it right.

  2. Dear Mr. Moore, Ms. Vander Velde and Mr. Ulrich, The most valuable game was the Match It Definitions game because you had all the definitions to pick for a word and then you chose what you thought was a right definition.

  3. Dear Mr. Moore and Mr. Ulrich,
The best was the unscramble game. It was the best for me because it was challenging trying to find the right way to put the sentencaces in the right order. It helped me understand how the sentencaces work for example The ambaseders office is in the embassy.

was word-o-drama because it didn't ask for the same thing in each question and ti made me think a lot.

  7. Dear Mr. Moore,
I fell like the match it sentence helps me the best with the vocabulary because it made me really made me think and try my hardest. Also I liked the sentence unscramble because the game had mixed words then you have to try and unscramble them and make then a sentence witch was a tad hard.

  8. Dear Mr. Moore, Ms. V, and Mr. Ulrich,

I recommend the following games:Match it definition and Word of Rama. I recommend these games because they both have to hook up with the definition and words. Lastly, both of the games helps with vocabulary by giving out hints for the words.

  9. Dear Mr. Moore,
I think the vocabulary game that helped me the most to understand these words was the sentence unscramble. I think it helped me because it was telling me if the sentences were done correctly. The game match it sentences also helped me understand these words. that game helped me because it also told me if it was right or wrong.

  10. Spelling city helped me as a learner by hearing the words in sentences but also by its self. Seeing the vocabulary helps me too.
